Vistaprint and VPREWARDS Scam Warning

Slightly off topic I know, but this needs to be broadcast.

Whatever you do, don't ever, under any circumstances, use Vistaprint. They are fraudsters and have a scam going which charges your credit card every month. Vistaprint from now on should be known as Pisstaprint or better still Shysterprint (whichever mnemonic works for you). Tell everyone you know and sign the petition:

Amazon tend to include VistaPrint flyers in their packaging so beware. And if you've ever used VistaPrint in the past I'd definitely recommend you check your credit card statement for "VPREWARDS.COM".

The Royal Bank of Scotland didn't do themselves any favours either when I called them about this. Their fraud department told me that VPREWARDS is a legitimate company. Yeah right - just a quick look online brings up more than 1500 links referring to "VPREWARDS scam" and it's clear to see this has been going on for some time (at least 18 months). I tried to get RBoS to agree to contact all customers signed up to this rip-off but they said they "have an automated system which alerts them to possible fraudulent activity". Pathetic.

  1. About a year ago I was about to use Vistaprint but somehow I backed off as it all sounded to good to be true. Good choice I guess.

  2. I was just about to order some business cards from them. It seemed too cheap to be true and filled with "you should buy this too" products.

After reading this, I logged out and closed the window. Thanks.

  4. Hi Anonymous,

Use the VPREWARDS phone number on your credit card statement and be really nice but ask for a refund. They'll offer you less than 100% but continue to be nice and push them to give you as much as you dare ask for. It worked for me though I still think they made about £60.

  5. I don't know about Vista Print in Scotland, but I've used Vista Print in the US for years, with no trouble. I don't have any monthly charges; I simply order business cards, postcards, address labels. Even got a few free items. They are beautiful. All their products have been wonderful. Sorry others are having trouble, but I think they were great!

  6. I read all the warnings and took the chance anyways. Paypal is pretty secure and I only put the money that I actually plan to use into it, so even if they try, they'll find out theres only 50 bucks left in the account anyways.

As for the service, If you are careful you can get through without signing up for anything, but you need to have a keen eye because there are boxes ALREADY CHECKED all over the place.

All in all, I was able to get 500 full color (single sided) business cards in the 3 weeks they said it would take for $20 CAN. The print quality is decent, the card cut still has a white edge along the side, but for all the negative press they get, I'm very satisfied since I expected much worse.
