Angus Owen Punton Hamlyn was born yesterday at 2:39pm. At 7lb 4oz Angus seems a contented little fella. Lesley's also doing fine after a grueling 38 hours labour. Hopefully she got some sleep last night - she'd been awake for 63 hours when I had to leave the hospital with all the other dads.
Had my first lesson in bathing a baby last night - every detail imprinted on my memory through a ritual both perfunctory and profound.

Congrats Jim
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Jim and Lesley! I'm moved by the video to an unexpected degree. I am moved by the incredibly sincere tenderness which your filming transmits in just sixteen seconds. It almost feels like you are carefully lifting up little Angus Owen with the trembling camera.
ReplyDeleteAngus Owen Punton Hamlyn is a really good name! He looks wonderful! Please send him my regards; Välkommen!
I wish Lesley a speedy recovery and a good rest from the labour and hope all is well. He's calling for you to carry him up the hills and mountains to get some views.
